Munich, 10.05.2023 The internationally operating freight forwarding company Emons, headquartered in Cologne, will automate and optimize their short distance transport dispatching processes at more than 20 branches with Smartlane Transport Intelligence, a Saas route optimization solution from the Munich-based company Smartlane GmbH. The software is already successfully supporting pilot operations at three Emons branches.
The forwarding company Emons, a long-standing user of the EuroMistral® TMS from DATIS, will in future use the SaaS solution Smartlane Transport Intelligence for the route optimization and dispatching process of their short distance transport. The integration of Smartlane Transport Intelligence in EuroMistral® was already carried out in a previous pilot project, which significantly simplifies and accelerates the introduction in the 20 other branches with a total local transport fleet of over 1,000 vehicles. “With the cross-site implementation of an expert solution specifically for dispatching, considerable potential is to be exploited and the dispatching process made more transparent and future-proof,” says Ralf Wieland, Managing Director/CEO of Emons.
